    This makes me very confused because I did not buy these items in 2021 and my credit card was not charged, but I got an invoice in the mailbox.

    It sounds like you received the email from the invoice_services address? If so, we didn’t send that. Any emails we send regarding upgrades on your account will always come from a @wordpress.com address.

    Renewal emails and receipts from us will also tell you the URL of the site it’s for, and in the case of a domain it will tell you the specific domain that has to be renewed. As the email you sent us doesn’t include that information, I don’t think this email came from us.

    I suspect this might have come from someone who is trying to scam you, so I’d just ignore that email.

    Actually, please hold onto that email for just a bit longer. I started to look into reporting a scam and it looks like it could be legitimate, but we’d still need to figure out why you’re getting that if you did not buy anything.

    Can you keep the email for now while we confirm?

    Hi there,

    We’ve gotten some more information on this – it appears that invoice was for your domain renewal in July 2020. We sent out invoices for all Taiwanese users for upgrades purchased throughout 2020, during December 2020/January 2021.

    You disputed that July 2020 payment, and have already been refunded for it by your bank/credit card company.

    Let us know if you have any further questions about this.
